Amplified Bible

⁴⁰ And the Child continued to grow and become strong [in spirit], filled with wisdom; and the grace (favor, spiritual blessing) of God was upon Him.^(A)

Visit to Jerusalem

⁴¹ Now His parents went to Jerusalem every year for the Passover Feast.^{(B) 42} And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem, according to the custom of the Feast;
